Alps for Wordpress coming – Tester Needed!

alps-wordpress Note: The theme has been released and is available to download.

This fall has been busier then I had expected, and as a result, the blogging here at has been light. But be assured, that work has still continued on.

We have been working with many organizations as they prepare to roll out new ALPS-based sites (more on that in the near future) and we have been working hard behind the scenes to get the tooling ready to make ALPS easy to adopt and adapt for sites.

One of those projects has been to create an implementation of ALPS in WordPress. And while anyone can make a theme, we wanted the ALPS version of the theme to be robust and flexible, able easily host a church website, or powerful enough to host a large site, like

Testers Needed

I’m excited to say that we are in wrapping up the initial development work on the WordPress theme, and we hope to have it publicly available soon. In order to test it, however, we need some help. Who do we need?

  • Administrators of existing WordPress-based church sites
  • People thinking about using ALPS and WordPress and want to set-up a site from scratch

If you want to help, just send a note through the comments and I’ll be in touch.

Remember, this is beta software and should be treated as such. Don’t try it on your live site!

Note: The theme has been released and is available to download.

What’s the official / latest colour palette for the Adventist website theme? I see using a blue theme (#2f557f), but the framework uses a muted aqua (#438390).
